BAND-MAID New Digital Single “Zen” will be released in January 2025! The song will be the Opening theme song for the MAPPA original TV anime “ZENSHU”

The globally girls’ hard rock band BAND-MAID, whose latest album Epic Narratives has charted in the top ranks worldwide, is teaming up with MAPPA, the renowned animation studio behind hits like Attack on Titan: The Final Season and Jujutsu Kaisen. Together, they will bring the original TV anime ZENSHU.

The title of the OP theme is “Zen” and will be released in January as the their first single in 2025.

The song reflects the anime’s immersive world, featuring poignant lyrics and a fast-paced, melodious hard rock sound. SAIKI (Vocals), who penned the lyrics, shared heartfelt comments about the passion poured into the piece. Globally Acclaimed Girls’ Band BAND-MAID Completes Their First ZEPP TOUR Across Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka! Highly Anticipated 2025 Tour and EP Release Confirmed!

The globally renowned girls’ hard rock band BAND-MAID continues to dominate charts worldwide, with their new album Epic Narratives ranking high across the globe. Their ZEPP TOUR, held across three cities in Japan in November, culminated in a two-day performance at ZEPP HANEDA on November 25th and 26th. Following the final show, they announced the release of a new single in January 2025, additional live performances and tours, and an EP set to drop later in 2025.

This tour marked a “revenge run” for BAND-MAID, as a previously planned ZEPP TOUR had been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past few years, the band’s rise has been nothing short of phenomenal. Their solo U.S. tour drew over 20,000 attendees, and in 2023, they became the first Japanese band to perform at Lollapalooza Chicago in approximately 13 years since X JAPAN. Having grown into a globally celebrated band, this ZEPP TOUR, surprisingly their first, was a passionate “serving” of live music that attracted not only fans from Japan but also from overseas.

KANAMI’s Comment:

“Discovering PRS was a pivotal moment for me; I was instantly drawn to it, and it quickly became an essential part of BAND-MAID.

It’s an absolute honor to see my dream of having my own signature model come true. Since I started playing the PRS Custom 24, it has consistently been at the core of BAND-MAID’s sound.

For this model, I chose the Custom 24-08’s control layout because our songs often require me to play up to the high E on the 24th fret, and I frequently switch between humbucker and single-coil sounds.

As for the color finish, I chose Trampas Green Smokeburst as a tribute to the very first PRS I bought when I decided to dedicate myself to BAND-MAID with this guitar. It symbolizes my determination and serves as a reminder to stay true to my roots.

With this signature model, I hope to continue delivering songs that energize and inspire you all. As a guitarist and composer, I’ll keep striving to grow and improve. Thank you for your continued support!”

BAND-MAID releases the music video for their new song ”Forbidden Tale” from their globally charting album Epic Narratives!

Their newest album Epic Narratives, released on September 25th, debuted at 8th on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart (as of September 25th). It ranked 4th in the U.S., 6th in Hong Kong, 3rd in Canada, and 2nd in both Ireland and Norway, charting high across the globe. It also made a strong start at 10th on Billboard JAPAN’s Hot Albums (weekly chart dated October 2nd).

The newly released music video for their song “Forbidden Tale” showcases a dramatic and grand composition, representing a new frontier for BAND-MAID. The video features a series of visually striking scenes that align perfectly with the song’s dynamic progression. Special performance by BAND-MAID x The Warning, two girl rock bands active worldwide! They performed a surprise collaboration song for the first time!

BAND-MAID, the world’s most popular girls’ band, performed at “Lollapalooza” in the U.S. in 2023 as the first Japanese band in about 13 years.
On June 12, BAND-MAID held a special performance at EX Theater Roppongi in Tokyo with a very popular Mexican band, The Warning.

The Warning is a three-sister band from Monterrey, Mexico’s third largest city, that has attracted hard rock fans since the release of their “Mayday EP” in 2021, and has garnered attention with over 86 million views on YouTube.
This special performance was made happen after the band members, who were originally fans of BAND-MAID, met backstage at the “AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL” to be held in the United States in 2022. A collaboration song, BAND-MAID with The Warning “SHOW THEM,” was also produced for this performance.

And at the end of the performance, they made a surprise performance together for the first time.

It was a very special night for fans of both bands.

The Warning is a hard rock band that has attracted hard rock fans immediately after the release of their “Mayday EP” in 2021, and has garnered attention from around the world with over 86 million views on YouTube. The members of the band were originally fans of BAND-MAID, and when they performed on the same day at the “Aftershock Festival” in 2022, they met BAND-MAID backstage, which led to a dream collaboration with BAND-MAID.

As this will be The Warning’s first show in Japan, the special performance with BAND-MAID is expected to be a hard-fought battle for tickets.

BAND-MAID performs with “Bestie” co-writer Mike for the first time at the Japan concert of the global megaband Incubus!

The world-famous girl band BAND-MAID performed at INCUBUS’ Tokyo Garden Theater on May 1 as special guests and performed their new song “Bestie” for the first time. After the performance, the music video for “Bestie” was released.

The new song “Bestie” was co-written with Mike Einziger (Gt) of the American alternative band Incubus, which has sold over 23 million albums worldwide. It was announced in advance that the song co-written with Mike would be performed live for the first time on the same day as Incubus, but to the surprise of the audience, Mike joined BAND-MAID on stage. The audience was very excited to see them.

At 24:00 on the same day, the music video of “Bestie” was released on BAND-MAID’s official channel, which has been viewed more than 200 million times. Since the song was co-written with Mike, this was the first music video in which he was dressed in an outfit other than a maid’s uniform. The soft off-white outfit was produced by SAIKI (Vo.) and matches the image of the song. The gap between the usual maid’s uniform and the music video was a fresh change.
