OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM has released a making-of video for their latest song, “Make Me Wonder.”
The video provides a behind-the-scenes look at both the recording session and the music video shoot, offering insight into how the song came together. In addition to footage of the band performing inside the LED box, the music video’s most striking visual element, the making-of also features interviews in which the members share their thoughts on the track. Fans are encouraged to experience the video alongside the song.
The official music video for “Make Me Wonder” is also available now. Showcasing performances that highlight each member’s individuality, the video centers on the four members playing inside a fully LED-lit box with rapidly shifting visuals throughout. Its fast-paced imagery reflects the song’s sense of drive and anticipation, making it a video viewers will want to watch again and again.
“Make Me Wonder” serves as the opening theme for the TV anime THE DARWIN I NCIDENT, which has been airing locally since January 6 on a major Japanese television broadcaster (TV Tokyo) and is also available for streaming on Prime Video, including in the United States. The anime is based on the widely popular manga series by Shun Umezawa, which has surpassed 2.2 million copies in circulation across its 10 published volumes to date. Praised for its distinctive worldview and gripping, suspense-driven storytelling, the series has received numerous manga awards, including the Grand Prize at the Manga Taisho 2022, and continues to enjoy strong popularity both in Japan and internationally. The work stands out as a compelling human-and-non-human drama with broad global appeal.
In addition, OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM will kick off a new nationwide tour in April. Titled “OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM one-man tour 2026,” the tour will include 26 shows across 17 venues throughout Japan. Following the band’s first-ever stadium tour last spring, which drew a total audience of approximately 250,000 people, anticipation is high for what OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM will deliver next.

【SYNOPSIS】
“Why is it that only humans are considered special?”
Charlie is a boy living in a rural area of Missouri in the United States. Half human and half chimpanzee, he is a “Humanzee” who possesses intelligence beyond that of a human and physical abilities surpassing those of a chimpanzee.
When Charlie turns 15, he enrolls in school for the first time at the encouragement of his human foster parents. There, he meets Lucy, a brilliant student who struggles with communication despite her sharp intellect. Charlie’s peaceful school life is short-lived, however, as his unique origins draw the attention of the extremist organization ALA, a terrorist group that claims to fight for animal liberation.
Forced into conflict, Charlie chooses to stand up to ALA in order to protect his family and Lucy.
Charlie, a being who is not human, confronts the problems humanity faces, including terrorism, discrimination, human rights issues, and social backlash, together with Lucy. A gripping human-and-non-human drama begins here.

【ABOUT OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM】
OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM, commonly known as HIGEDAN, is a Japanese pop band originally formed in Shimane Prefecture in 2012. Now based in Tokyo, the four-member group consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Satoshi Fujihara, guitarist Daisuke Ozasa, bassist and saxophonist Makoto Narazaki, and drummer Masaki Matsuura.
The band’s name includes the Japanese word “hige,” meaning “mustache,” and reflects their wish to continue making music that excites people of all ages, even when they reach an age where mustaches suit them, while continuing on as the same four members over time.
OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM released their debut mini-album Love and Peace Are Inside of You in 2014. Their first full-length album, ESCAPARADE, followed in 2018 and featured the hit single “No Doubt.” In 2019, the band achieved a major breakthrough with their second single “Pretender,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. Their second full-length album, Traveler, became their first No. 1 album in Japan.

Their song “Cry Baby” served as the opening theme for Tokyo Revengers, followed by “White Noise” for the anime’s second season. They later provided “Mixed Nuts” as the opening theme for the global hit SPY × FAMILY, and “Same Blue” for the anime Blue Box.

OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM will kick off their nationwide “OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM one-man tour 2026” on April 4, 2026 in Sendai, Japan.
The tour will span 26 performances across 17 cities throughout Japan, concluding on July 26, 2026 in Kanagawa at K-Arena Yokohama.
