Analog versions of Fishmans’ popular best-of albums “Kuchu” and “Uchu” which were produced beyond the borders of the labels, will be released!
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut, the Fishmans continue to gain new fans on a global scale. The best-of albums "Kuchu" and "Uchu," originally released simultaneously in 2005 as a joint project between PONY CANYON and UNIVERSAL MUSIC, will be reissued as a double vinyl set on colored vinyl by both companies. This work is a best-of selection made by drummer Kinichi Motegi (currently of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra), transcending the boundaries of the two labels based on the concepts of "Kuchu" and "Uchu." It has been highly requested by Fishmans fans to be released on vinyl. The cutting master is planned to be done by Sterling Sound in New York. Yukiko Okada, celebrating the 40th anniversary of her debut in 2024, has announced the jacket photo and disc color scheme of each single for the "7-inch Single Complete BOX" to be released on August 22, 2012. This box set includes the unknown last single "Hana no Image", which is being converted into a 7-inch analog single for the first time. All the singles released at the time were also reissued in analog for the first time, making this a complete box set containing a total of nine single records.
