go!go!vanillas’ latest track “Dandelion” has been selected as the ending theme of the TV anime SAKAMOTO DAYS. SAKAMOTO DAYS is an extremely popular series that has surpassed 8 million copies in circulation. The story is about Taro Sakamoto, a former legendary hitman, who now fights alongside his allies to protect the peaceful daily life he shares with his beloved family from relentless assassins in this hitman solid action story. The newly released main trailer (ver.2) features part of “Dandelion,” the new ending theme by go!go!vanillas. Regarding the theme, the band commented: “We were truly happy to receive this opportunity as fans of the series. The ending theme ‘Dandelion’ was not created to reflect Sakamoto’s active side as a hitman, but to focus on the quiet peace and the price that follows after the fight ends and he returns home.” The lyrics, written by vocalist/guitarist Tatsuya Maki, highlight the way Taro Sakamoto lives his life. Singer-songwriter Ako will perform the new opening theme for the second cour of the TV anime Me and the Alien MuMu, which begins airing on July 2. The newly written song, titled “MOVE MOVE,” marks Ako’s first-ever anime tie-in. Me and the Alien MuMu is a “super spectacle x household appliances x cat comedy” that follows MuMu, a cat-like alien who travels to Earth from a distant galaxy, and the chaotic adventures that unfold with the main character Sakurako and her friends. Furui Riho has announced the advance digital release of her new song “Hello,” ahead of the July 30 release of her upcoming four-track single of the same name. The title track “Hello” has been selected as the opening theme for the TV anime CITY THE ANIMATION, which premieres on July 6. Kroi has been announced as the artist behind the new opening theme for the second cour of the TV anime SAKAMOTO DAYS, set to premiere on July 14. The band wrote an original track titled “Method” specifically for the series. SAKAMOTO DAYS is a hit manga with over 8 million copies in circulation.
