THE ORAL CIGARETTES’ new song “ERASE” was digitally released on January 7, with its music video premiering on YouTube the same day.

“ERASE” serves as the opening theme for the second cour of the TV anime “Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube,” which began airing on January 7. Featuring lyrics that reflect the anime’s worldview, the track blends high-speed rock energy with a melodic vocal line — a signature THE ORAL CIGARETTES-style rock number.

The newly released music video features three prominent figures from the Japanese rock scene — TOSHI-LOW (BRAHMAN), MAH (SiM), and Ichiro (SPARK!!SOUND!!SHOW!!) — appearing in special effects makeup as demons and devils. Staying true to the anime’s theme while portraying the bonds between rock bands through grand-scale CG visuals, the video has drawn widespread attention. Viewers have praised it as “cool yet humorously entertaining,” expressing surprise at the star-studded guest lineup and its comedic twist ending.

Takuya Yamanaka(Vo/Gt), who conceived the video’s scenario, commented on the concept:
“I wanted to visualize the message that the Japanese rock scene is fun! — including the sense of unity and bonds within the scene.”

Regarding the casting, Takuya Yamanaka explained:
“When you think of a ‘demon of the rock scene,’ TOSHI-LOW-san immediately came to mind. If there’s a demon, you need an adversary, so I asked MAH-san, who has that ‘devil-like big brother’ presence. And then we needed a ‘small-fry character,’ so I invited Ichiro — a senior but I can tease.”
He personally reached out to each of them, making this remarkable collaboration possible.
