Hakubi, a three-piece band from Kyoto, has announced that their new song “pray” will be the ending theme song for the TV anime “Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything with Low-Level Spells” which will start airing from July 2024.

The TV anime “Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything with Low-Level Spells” is an anime adaptation of a popular light novel written by Yoshi Shinozaki and illustrated by KWKM, which has been published by Overlap Bunko since 2018.

The story is popular for its expression of the dark emotions of the main character, Touka Mimori, who is summoned to another world with his classmates, only to be abandoned by a goddess, and survives by using only “abnormal skills” to seek revenge, as well as the duality of the story in which he deepens his bonds with his friends while harboring a desire for vengeance.

 

Hakubi’s new song “pray,” the ending theme song for the film, was written by Vo/Gt. Katagiri in the motif of “Seras,” the heroine of the film, to accompany the film. The song was inspired by the heroine “Selous,” who tries to be strong while thinking of someone else, and Hakubi’s message as a band.

I wrote the song “pray” as the ending theme song for the TV anime “pray” will be the ending theme song for the TV anime “Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything with Low-Level Spells”.
I am very happy to be involved in the TV anime adaptation of this exciting work that makes me want to read the rest of the story as soon as the episodes are over.
The song “pray” was written to express the heroine Seras’s desire to be strong for someone else. It is a cool song, and I am looking forward to hearing it.
