GLAY performed at “2024 SUPER SLIPPA 超犀利趴13,” Taipei’s largest festival event, held in Taiwan on August 24.

 

This was the first time for the band to perform at a festival overseas. Both days of the two-day festival were sold out, and the venue was filled not only with local Taiwanese fans, but also with audience members from Japan.

 

This was GLAY’s last live performance in Taiwan in about six and a half years, since the “GLAY ARENA TOUR 2018 SPRINGDELICS” in 2018. The audience cheered and clapped loudly when the members appeared on stage and TERU ran to the center stage extending to the audience side and bowed to the audience.

The live started with “whodunit” to respond to the audience’s enthusiasm. During the interlude, they paid homage to underworld’s “Born Slippy” and the audience went wild.

TERU said, “Let me introduce our best friends,” and vocalist Ashin and guitarist Monster of Mayday appeared on stage.
The stage ended with a bang as the members of Mayday, one of the most popular rock bands in Asia, appeared and performed “Temptation” with the audience’s full voltage rising at the surprise joint performance.

 

Later, TERU joined Mayday on stage for the last time as the festival organizer, along with Ryuta Yamamura, vocalist of flumpool, a performer at the event, as a surprise. The song “OAOA,” written by Ryuta Yamamura and composed by Ashin, was performed by Mayday and the two vocalists of GLAY and flumpool.

 

The audience applauded generously for the collaboration that transcended national borders, and TERU’s performance ended with the excitement of the entire venue.
