In 2026, FAIRY TAIL will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original manga series.

To mark this special milestone, the original soundtracks from the first FAIRY TAIL anime series (2009–2013), composed by Yasuharu Takanashi, will be released on vinyl on September 30. The release comes in response to strong requests from fans around the world.

All four soundtrack titles will feature cover artwork originally drawn by FAIRY TAIL creator Hiro Mashima for the CD releases. Each title will also be available as a colored vinyl edition.

Comment from Yasuharu Takanashi:

“For me, the FAIRY TAIL anime is one of my most important works and a true life’s work. I am grateful that it has been loved by so many people around the world, and it even received the JASRAC International Award in 2017.

I am very happy that these soundtracks will now be released on vinyl. This is only possible because fans have continued to love the music through their love of the series.

In addition, vinyl editions of the compilation albums featuring the opening and ending theme songs from the first anime series, “TV Anime FAIRY TAIL Opening & Ending Songs Vol. 1–3,” are currently planned for release in 2026. More details will be announced at a later date.
