Singer-songwriter Ako released her digital single “Mona Lisa” on October 15th and simultaneously posted its music video.

The track was written after Ako earned a spot at a UK festival, capturing her admiration and emotional connection to the UK and Europe. It vividly depicts a reserved protagonist who empowers herself with phrases like “I am the villain” and “Your Mona Lisa (symbol of beauty)”. The song opens with a striking, tight guitar riff and unfolds into a chorus highlighted by sharp, staccato piano notes.

The music video was shot at a cinema in London, England, and directed by London-based creative director Joseph Delaney, who has previously worked with artists such as Witch Fever, Cassyette, HMLTD, and Dylan Fraser, among others.

Ako will embark on her largest tour to date, “Odyssey,” with shows scheduled for October 19 in Osaka, October 24 in Tokyo, and her first-ever overseas performance at Legacy Taipei on October 31.
