2000 Formed by Chiba Ryohei, Tachibana Keita, and Ogata Ryuichi.

In November 2000, they began street performances every Sunday in Yoyogi Park and on the streets of Shibuya. Word of mouth spread quickly, and just before their debut, they drew 8,000 people to Shibuya’s HOKOTEN. On March 14, 2001, they made their debut with the single “Forever Memories. Their first album “w-inds. ~1st message~” released in the same year reached No. 1 on the Oricon Chart. In recognition of her achievement, she won the Best New Artist Award at the 43rd Japan Record Awards.

They have won the Japan Record Award Gold Prize seven times and the Best Work Award once, and have appeared on NHK’s Kohaku Uta Gassen six times, making their ability and popularity unshakeable.

Since 2002, he has toured Japan with a total of 638 concerts, attracting more than 1.65 million people.

Their activities are not limited to the domestic market, but have spread throughout Southeast Asia, and so far they have performed 9 solo shows in Taiwan, 3 shows in Shanghai, and 11 shows in Hong Kong.

In Taiwan, four consecutive albums have reached No. 1 on the overall charts, making them the first Japanese artists to achieve this feat. In Hong Kong, he has won numerous awards, including the IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award in the Best Sales Release Japan-Korea category for 12 consecutive albums, a first in history.

In 2015, he won the Asian Most Influential Japanese Singer award at the 19th China Music Awards held at The Venetian Macau Cotai Arena, becoming the first Japanese male artist to win this honor. He is the first Japanese male artist to be crowned with this honor. In Hong Kong, he received the “Consul General’s Commendation” from the Consulate General of Japan in Hong Kong in recognition of his contribution to the spread of J-Pop in Hong Kong and Macau over many years.

After the 15th anniversary of his debut, Keita Tachibana began full-fledged self-production in 2017. He not only writes lyrics, composes, and arranges music, but also handles track down and mixing work, pursuing musicality and making great strides in his production style.

In Hong Kong, they received a special award as the singer/group with the most gold medals at the International Pop Poll Awards organized by the state-run radio station RTHK.
