SNK / Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugakudan’s Arranged Soundtrack for THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’96 Is Now Available for Streaming!

SNK’s popular fighting games THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’96 and THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’97, both celebrating their 30th anniversaries this year, are now available as digital releases of their arranged soundtracks, released on July 29.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS (KOF) is a popular fighting game series featuring characters from SNK’s iconic titles, including FATAL FURY and ART OF FIGHTING. Bringing together characters from different series, KOF created a unique team-based fighting system and has attracted fans around the world with its dream matchups between SNK’s all-star characters.

The newly released arranged soundtracks are part of a popular soundtrack series arranged and performed by SNK’s sound team, SNK / Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugakudan. For KOF ’96 and KOF ’97, renowned musicians including Akira Jimbo (Drums), Jun Kajiwara (Guitar), and Osamu Koike (Saxophone) also participated in the recording of selected tracks, creating a rich and dynamic sound.

The arranged soundtracks for KOF ’94 and KOF ’95 were released digitally in June, while KOF ’98 and KOF ’99 are scheduled for digital release on August 26, 2026.

In addition, many more game soundtracks from SNK titles originally released under the former Scitron label are scheduled to become available digitally throughout the rest of 2026.
