HOKUTO (THE RAMPAGE’s Hokuto Yoshino)’s new song “hate you? love you?” has been announced as the opening theme for the TV anime “The Drops of God”, which is scheduled to begin airing in April 2026. It was also revealed that the track will be released digitally on March 6—HOKUTO’s birthday.

The song is written by members of the fast-rising band Penthouse, whose March concert at Nippon Budokan sold out immediately. Inspired by the anime’s wine-centered world, the track delivers a sophisticated, danceable jazz-funk sound. It strongly showcases a new dimension of HOKUTO’s musical artistry.

“The Drops of God” is based on the hit manga written by Tadashi Agi and illustrated by Shu Okimoto, originally serialized in “Morning” (Kodansha) from 2004 to 2014. The story, which revolves around the mysterious wine known as the “Drops of God,” captivated readers with its human drama and accessible explanations of wine, sparking a global wine boom. The series has surpassed 15 million copies in circulation worldwide and continues to receive strong support from professionals within the wine industry. Now, as part of a new media mix development, the long-awaited first anime adaptation has officially been confirmed.
