In November 2024, instrumental band toconoma released ISLAND, their first full-length album in four years. Following the album’s release, the band launched their nationwide “ISLAND” tour across six cities in Japan. As the second leg of the tour, they’ll take the stage in seven cities across Asia before wrapping up with a final show at Spotify O-EAST in Tokyo on September 21.

Starting in July, toconoma will tour Shanghai, Beijing, Yogyakarta, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taipei, and Seoul, culminating in the Tokyo finale.

Their fifth album, ISLAND, marks their first since VISTA four years ago. The album was created amidst their unique lifestyle of balancing full-time jobs with their musical pursuits—a rhythm they’ve maintained since forming the band. The title ISLAND reflects their ambition to deliver Japan’s distinctive emotional musicality, infused with danceable beats, to a global audience. Keep an eye on toconoma as they continue expanding their worldwide presence as an instrumental powerhouse.
