THE ORAL CIGARETTES
Formed in 2010 in Nara, Japan. A one-of-a-kind rock band that skillfully manipulates sound and words without turning away from the dark side of humanity. With live performances that showcase the members’ characters, the band has performed at outdoor festivals all over the country.
Their releases are constantly breaking records, and their 5th AL “SUCK MY WORLD” released in April 2020 debuted at No. 1 on Oricon following the previous album.
In June 2017, they held their first Nippon Budokan concert, and in February 2018, they held a concert at Osaka-jo Hall in their hometown in Kansai, which was sold out on both days. KK Tour 2019 in Shanghai/Beijing/Taipei” was held. And in September, he held his first outdoor event “PARASITE DEJAVU ~2DAYS OPEN AIR SHOW~” at Izumiotsu Phoenix in Osaka, which attracted about 40,000 people over two days.
Due to the spread of the new coronavirus in 2020, COUPLING TOUR 2020 “Tonight the silence kills me with your fire”, JAPAN ARENA TOUR “SUCK MY WORLD”, and Zepp Tour “SUCK MY WORLD” were postponed and canceled. In September, the band held two days of “ORALIUM” at KT Zepp Yokohama, a performance that strongly emphasized the concept of “ORALIUM. This performance reiterated the importance of music in the Corona Disaster.
In 2022, the first nationwide hall tour, Hall Tour 2022 “SUCK MY WORLD,” was held from February. The Tokyo show featured a special formation with horns and a chorus group, demonstrating the breadth of the band’s musicality.
In October of the same year, “PARASITE DEJAVU 2022 ~2DAYS ARENA SHOW in SAITAMA~” was held at Saitama Super Arena for two days, their first event in about three years. The event drew approximately 30,000 people.
From February 2023, they will hold a 2MAN VS TOUR “MORAL PANIC” with 11 shows throughout Japan.

THE ORAL CIGARETTES new single "UNDER and OVER" was released on October 1st. This track has been selected as the opening theme for the TV anime "Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii", which will start airing on October , 2024. It has been three years since they have sung an anime theme song. Along with the release, the music video for "UNDER and OVER" was also unveiled on THE ORAL CIGARETTES’ official YouTube channel. The video features a one-shot style, with various phenomena unfolding around Takuya Yamanaka (Vo/Gt), who stands out wearing a flight cap. The theme of the song is "good and evil," conveying the message that even within evil, there is good, and even if one has committed a crime, happiness can still be rebuilt. It’s a work that leaves you with the satisfaction of watching a film, so be sure to check it out!
