Ako
Ako (pronounced ay-ko) is a charismatic singer-songwriter who launched her career in 2020, quickly making an impact with her heartfelt and visually engaging songs and the signature whisper voice. The creative team “londog” led by Ako also plays a key role in producing music videos and pioneering diverse artistic projects.
In 2024, she made her major debut single “Planet” released by IRORI Records/PONY CANYON INC. and performed at SXSW ‘24 in Texas for three different showcases. Her first full album, GENE, dropped on July 10, 2024. Earlier in 2025, she completed her first headlining tour of the year, “Ako Live Tour 2025 ‘LOVE PROPHET.’” In May, she performed at the music festival “The Great Escape 2025” held in Brighton, UK. In October, she held a solo tour “Ako Live Tour 2025 ‘Odyssey,’” with two performances in Japan and one in Taipei. She’s now set to return with “Ako Live Tour 2026 ‘JUNO,’” a five-city tour in Japan starting next June that promises to thrill her ever-growing fan base with electrifying and raw performances.

Ako releases new digital single “Mona Lisa”! Music video shot at a cinema in London is out now too!
Singer-songwriter Ako released her digital single “Mona Lisa” on October 15th and simultaneously posted its music video. The track was written after Ako earned a spot at a UK festival, capturing her admiration and emotional connection to the UK and Europe. It vividly depicts a reserved protagonist who empowers herself with phrases like “I am the villain” and “Your Mona Lisa (symbol of beauty)”. The song opens with a striking, tight guitar riff and unfolds into a chorus highlighted by sharp, staccato piano notes. The music video was shot at a cinema in London, England, and directed by London-based creative director Joseph Delaney, who has previously worked with artists such as Witch Fever, Cassyette, HMLTD, and Dylan Fraser, among others. Ako will embark on her largest tour to date, “Odyssey,” with shows scheduled for October 19 in Osaka, October 24 in Tokyo, and her first-ever overseas performance at Legacy Taipei on October 31.
